Our Whitetail Extreme Parka gives you protection from the elements, quietness, durability and an exceptional fit. The GORE-TEX Scent-Lok fabric combines the waterproof protection and breathable comfort of GORE-TEX fabric with the odor-absorbing found in Scent-Lok. Articulated four-piece sleeves give you the freedom you need to effortlessly draw a bow, shoulder a rifle or climb up to your tree stand. The 200-gram Thinsulate™ Supreme Insulation in the body and 150 grams in the sleeves seals in your body’s natural warmth. Four lower fleece-lined cargo/handwarmer pockets provide ample space for gloves, ammunition and other accessories. Two upper vertical pockets are specially designed to accommodate binoculars and calls. Two internal pockets, adjustable elastic cuffs, waist and lower drawstring. A four-piece visored hood with two drawstrings. Imported. Sizes: M-3XL. Camo patterns: Realtree AP™ , Vertigo™ Grey , Mossy Oak® Break-Up Infinity® .

good jacket. very warm, so warm in fact that i wish it had zippered arm pits so i could open them up while walking, but the jacket is great as-is for stand hunting. good product.

Bought this product two years ago and didn't have an opportunity to truely test in the elements until this past weekend. For the most part it has kept me fairly warm during the course of my late season hunts in Illinois. This past week I got caught in the rain for 5 days straight. The first couple of days I was damp, but not uncomfortable. Finally on the last day as the rain picked up I became soaked to the bone and abandoned the hunt. The other problem I can see is that the waterproofing is internal and not on the exterior. This product is bulky to begin with but then add water weight and it becomes extremely heavy and uncomfortable. I would say that the jacket and pants together weighed over 10lbs by the time I got back to the truck. I found myself heading to the laundry mat after every hunt to dry the clothing out to get ready for the evening hunts. Nothing is more miserable than putting on wet clothes and heading out into the cold weather. I will now be returning this clothing and seekeing something a little less bulky and will opt to layer up instead. Another downside is it lacks breathability and you will find yourself sweated up for any considerable walk into the woods.

I bought this and the bibs and right away I had to put it to the test. Heavy rains and strong winds tested the MT050 to the max. All day I stayed warm and dry and was able to sit in the treestand without discomfort. Although my efforts did not pay off a bad day in the field is better than a good day at work.....

I ordered the MT050 Whitetail Extreme Scent-lok Parka to complete my cold weather hunting outfit, to wear during mid/late archery season. Fit is great... Snug, yet lots of freedom of movement, just as adverstised. I already had the matching bibs (purchased last year) and was very happy with the way they performed. Temp was recently in the low 30's and spent 7 comfortable hours in my treestand. I have already told several of my friends how well I like it/them. I am so impressed myself, I just ordered the rainsuit. Thank you Cabelas for the entire MT050 line.

I recently purchased the Parka as well as the pants prior to a moose hunt in Northern Ontario. The first four days were wet snow/sleet conditions and I would come back to camp at the end of the day dry and warm. Could not have asked any more from this exceptional material. Thanks Cabelas for some great quality outerwear.

im a 50 yr old hunter who retired from the u.s. marines after 20 yrs, and have been outdoors my entire life. i have used the mt050 for the past 10 yrs and passed it on to my daughter, to get a new camo pattern. i recommend your product 100% it has kept me dry, warm, and scent free that produce many deer and bears in canada and ny. thanks

Excellent warmth, don't walk through briars!!

I have just completed my second season in NJ. Kept me warm with little or no extra undergarments in 10-20 degree weather. Stayed on stand for 12 hours at 20-22 degrees with 12-18 mile winds and stayed warm. I'm a scent lok user, but if you are down wind nothing will keep the deer from sniffing you out. Excellent water repellency, great hood although a little tight and uncomfortable on the ears, definitely keeps the rain out. I truly love this outfit, but will attempt to return it due to severe briar rips this winter. I was crawling and walking through some briars on a zero degree day and a day or two later I noticed about 10 short briar rips in both pant legs. This will kill the waterproofing as water can now get in. A couple of button snaps also broke. I have owned coveralls for 30 plus years that have held up better. I am disappointed that I want to return these garments as I do love them and feel they are the best outfit I have yet to own. I would never allow myself to normally spend this much money but you cannot spend close to $600 and get torn up like this. I am hopeful that Cabela's will take them back. I am doubtful I would buy this outfit again unless Cabelas strengthens the material. These are hunting clothes and have to withstand a walk through all kinds of brush, especially at this price. Cabelas's has great integrity and a tremendous reputation for their customer sevice and quality goods, but they need to take a closer look at the durability of this garment. In their ads for the MT050 they advertise "tough as nails" and "durability of armor". I wish it were true and I am confident Cabela's will solve this problem. Will let you all know if Cabelas's accepts my return after 14 months of ownership. I believe they should.

Recently w/ the zero and sub zero temps this jacket was the best. I used this in conjunction with the baseslayers short sleeve top and Cabelas Polartec 300 jacket. Wind chill gone, snow on the ground and I was warm with minimal movement!! I even tested the this with driving around with my window open/ arm out the window driving 55 - 60 mph I didn't feel cold except for my ears... I'm definitely looking to purchase more for family members...

Bought this jacket for bowhunting in wisconsin. Jacket performed as expected. Kept me warm on stand in 20 degree temps while sleeting, windy, and snowing, with only long underwear and a t-shirt underneath. Not bulky enough to interfere with bow string/etc. Pockets in all the right places. Quiet, weatherproof, and warm! Trying to decide on the bibs or pants next...

I received my MT050 Whitetail extreme parka along with the trousers a few weeks ago. I was very impressed with the quality of the gear. I live in northern CA and even though I'm not in sub zero temps it still gets rather cold in the high sierra. I took this gear bear hunting and it worked wonderfully. I was more than warm and the temp was around the mid 20's all day. It's silent and super comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone. Thanks again Cabelas

I purchased Cabela's GORE-TEX® MT050® Whitetail Extreme™ Scent-Lok® Parka and bibs. I have used them for one season before I offering a review. When I first recieved the Jacket and bibs I was worried that they might be a little bulky. After wearing them one time I found out that couldn't be further from the truth. These are the most comfortable hunting clothes that I have ever worn. I have used them all season and they have kept warm and dry. They are a little expensive but I believe they are worth the money. Have sat out in sleet and been warm as can be. The only knock that I can say is that they are not real durable if you are going to be out walking through rough terrain. Will easily snag on thicket, fence, etc. If am going to be out walking through brush all day I have another suite that I wear. For going from camp to stand and light walking you wont't find better....

Second time I wore this Jacket, when I climbed into the stand, in the dark I could not find the ammo I had placed in LH pocket.
The pocket had split open and the ammo was distributed all around the inside lining of the jacket.
When I got back to the Lodge I found the pocket material was flimsy and unacceptable in an expensive jacket.
I returned it.

This parka is very warm in sud-zero temperatures, even with the wind blowing. I got just a bit hot the first day with to many layers of clothing. Perfect for tree stand hunting in very cold weather.

This is one truly quality product. Warm, quiet and very durable. If you are hunting and want a jacket that is going to do everything you need it to then look no further. I plan on purchasing the eclipse options also. Buy with confidence. Worth the price.
