Ellington convertable messenger

Date:February 17, 2011
I love the versatility and of this bag. It's perfect as an everyday bag and changing to a backpack is great for keeping up with a young child.
The plastic prong of the buckle also broke on my bag after 6 weeks of use. I contacted Ellington and they replaced the buckle with an all plastic one (no more metal) for free. They didn't even ask for a receipt and I got the bag back in two weeks.
I highly recommend purchasing Ellington bags for their quality and excellent customer service.

mixed review on Annie Tote

Date:June 29, 2010
I have been using the Annie Convertible Tote for five days now.
What I love:
1. Lightweight yet well constructed - fabric is comfortable, practical and cool in a warm, humid environment. Pleasant to wear on my back, doesn't make me hot and sticky.
2. Lots of practical compartments, just what I need for all my grab-and-go travel items.
What's disappointing:
1. The front buckle is overly heavy and awkward - flops around and clanks on things. It's too heavy for the bag.
2. The plastic insert for the buckle broke a prong after only four days' light/average use. Now I'm rubber-banding the bag to stay closed. Very unfortunate; I would certainly have expected longer wear.
3. The straps are slippery, so the adjustment rings don't stay put.
Overall, I might recommend this bag to a friend, but with reservations. I wish I didn't already have to pay to have it repaired.
