Great binocs,November 23, 2009

"Well made and easy to use. Recommended for everyday use. Not the greatest in low light conditions. Perfect for birding around the house, yard, farm. Good for spotting the cows in the back pasture. Prompt delivery and well packaged."

Bino's that are good value for the money,November 22, 2009
By IrvingBirderfrom Irving, Tx Bird watcher who travels all over.
"About 99% of the use that I have for field glasses is bird watching in the field. I needed something small & 10X to put into a coat pocket. These fit that bill nicely. Very good value for the money.
I have used my Nikon 10X50 for over 10 years now with excellent results but they are heavy. The two problems I have with my new 10/25 is of course, as expected, a limited field of view. I'm used to twice the field of view. I'll learn to live with that. The reason I gave them 4 stars is that the focus adjustment is not sensitive enough. I have trouble getting them to focus easily. Focus needs to be much more sensitive.
Would I buy another pair. Yes, just as soon as my wife decides she likes these, I will have to buy me another pair (she has 12X50 Cabela's brand),."

Disappointed,November 12, 2009
By willie76from Tennessee
"These are ok binoculars but I was really disappointed with the low light capability. My monarch scopes allow me to see much better in low light but these were no better than my eyes. Of course the monach has much larger objective lenses. I also pick up a glare in the bottom of the binoculars and I have not figured out what is causing that. For the price, they are ok and I would rather have these than some of the cheaper brands."

nikon sportstar,August 5, 2009
By Dazeydogfrom Delaware
"I was looking for a lightweight pairs of binoculars so did some shopping around to evaluate my options. After looking at a bunch of these field glasses, I chose the sportstar (10x25). I was impressed with the clarity. They are more than you need for the back yard activities and very good for travelling. The night vision is even fairly good for the cost. Looking at a shadow 200 yards away at night is not good but looking at a full moon at 238k miles is outstanding. For the price, you can't beat them."

Great Product,April 30, 2009
By wvfisherfrom West Virginia
"My pair of binoculars came as a Christmas present. I am in my 70's, love to ride my four wheeler and these are perfect to drop in a jacket pocket, etc. I have larger, more expensive binoculars, but clarity is no better. Great product."

BEST BUY FOR under $100,March 23, 2009
By jerkybearfrom Irving, tx
"These are so great. I mainly use them for birding and animal watching. They are easy to focus, have great lenses and you can see the speckles on a bird egg fifty feet away. They are very light and just the right size for women. They aren't so small that they are hard to adjust and they aren't so big you can't put them in the case they come with and carry in a regular size handbag or backpack. They do well in low light as well as bright light. If you are looking for something under $100 with all the right qualities, do yourself a favor and buy a pair."

Good binocs,January 21, 2009
By Hamneggsfrom Maryland
"I bought these to use for hunting in tight areas and they are very clear. I was surprised how good they were for an inexpensive pair of binocs. If you are not looking for long range these will do well. They are still pretty good out to 300 yds."

amazing,July 24, 2008
By wallowstalkerfrom Idaho, mule deer haven
"who would've thought that so much clarity and no eye strain could be produced through a compact inexpensive pair of binoculars? I tell you, Nikon allways hits the top of the list when it comes to price and binos. I don't know how they do it, but i am glad they do. A+. ps. why leave a 4 when you have no problems, just a thought"

Great binoculars,June 21, 2008
By RedDevilfrom Reddevil, London ky
"Bought a pair of these at Cabelas Dundee, wanted to compare all the brands side by side.Ready to spend up to 300 dollars on a pair after being frustrated with my old ones.I compaired them to about 12 pairs and kept going back to these, they are very cler and pretty bright for there size.some of the ones I compaired were in the 300 dollar price range and I couldnt realy tell a differance in most and in some cases these cheaper ones were clearer than the more expensive ones. Not to mention about half the size and weight.I couldn't recomend this product more.I will be buying another pair for my dad."

Nice glasses,June 4, 2008
By VerminKlrfrom Virginia Beach, VA
"These binoculars were a Mother's Day gift to my wife from our kids. They are the first set of binoculars she has ever been able to use without any difficulty (Which really says something about this product!). The optics are very good and the view through them crystal clear even in moderately low light conditions. They are used mostly for bird watching in the back yard. However, they are very compact and light weight and should be ideal to take on the mountain streams she hikes along while I'm fishing. She'll now be able to get a good look at some of the beautify native brook trout I catch without getting eye strain. For you non-brook trout fishermen... High altitude brook trout in Virginia don't get much bigger than 12 inches."

"I was really impressed with the clearity of these binoculars. Keep in mind I haven't had a new pair for around 30 years. I haven't used them a lot yet but they seem to work great. I think for the price I got a great deal."

Sportstar Review,January 8, 2007
By SoonerFanfrom Norman, Oklahoma
"In a year's time I purchased two pair of Nikon binoculars: these Sportstars and a full size 10X50 pair. I've used the smaller Sportstars far more than the larger ones, mainly due to their light weight and outstanding optics. I'll probably buy another pair because my wife won't relinquish them at basketball games and my 10X50's are too powerful for the basketball arena."

Nikon Sportstar Rocks!,November 29, 2006
By rrlarsfrom Chico, California
"Went Falconing with a friend when I first tried them out - nice to have a small set when you're jogging around trying to flush game for your bird wht them haning on your neck. I looked through them right along side my buddies $300 Zeiss binos of about the same size. Zeiss certainly BUT NOT 4X NICER by any stretch! I could buy 4 pairs for what he paid. I have a larger set of Nikons as well, had them 10-12 years, nice and reliable!"
