This feature-packed generator delivers 3,500 running watts and up to 4,000 peak watts. Plus, you get even more with the Weekender Package: heavy-duty wheels, a clamp-on handle kit and polyester-lined PVC storage cover. With a noise level of 68db, it’s quiet – only 8db above normal conversation. Runs 12 hours at 50% load from a 4-gallon fuel tank. Receptacles include a 30-amp, 120-volt twist-lock; one 30-amp, 120-volt RV receptacle; and a 20-amp, 120-volt. Push-to-reset circuit breakers. Single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine with recoil start and low-oil shut-off. 1"-diameter tubular steel frame. Includes oil funnel, spark arrester and spark-plug wrench. Two-year limited warranty. New 2013 model is EPA approved. Dimensions: 23-1/4"L x 17-1/2"W x 17-1/4"H. Weight: 100 lbs.

Received this generator for a gift over a year ago on a birthday. The on/off switch was defective, called Champion and received a new one at no charge with fast shipping, since then I have zero issues. Starts with first pull every time, and runs great. It powers my 25' travel trailer with A/C with no problems. As far as noise goes, it is NOT a "super quiet" Honda or Yamaha that costs 3X as much for 1/3 the wattage, so that is not a fair comparison. That's like saying I am taking back my 3/4 ton pickup because it doesn't ride like a Cadillac... you want a ride like a Cadillac then buy one, but do not think they are in the same category. I put mine against another Honda generator that is not a 'super quiet' model and they are comparable. For the money- under four bills, shipped to my door, I say it can't be beat. Its a portable, recreational use generator that does what it is supposed to do.

Love This Generator

I bought this generator 3 years ago. I have put a lot of hours on this unit in that time. It has always run great even in the cold at 10,000 feet. I originally bought this to get me by until I could get a Honda or Yamaha, but this has been an awesome generator that can even run the ac unit on my trailor. I recently broke the rope pull start and had to call Champion customer service for a new part. The service was top notch and I had a new pull start assembly in less then a week. The funny thing is the generator would still start with a shorter rope pull. It does everything I need without a high price tag, I only wish that the remote start was available when I bought this unit.:)

Have only started it to make sure it ran. It was much quieter than I was expecting. I actually bought a 1000w Yamaha inverter generator as well, and, with them both running 15 yards apart, you have to be standing on the champion before you can't hear the Yamaha. Also, the champion fired the second pull and ran real nice. If it fires up like that when I actually need it I would give it a sixth star for the price!

Bought this on sale and figured it sit. Sandy hits and though I didn't need it two family members shared it - hope they buy their own!!! Drove it back and forth - this little guy gives you what you need - not what you want!!!

I have owned this generator for approximately 1.5 years now. Out of the box it was flawless and provided heat, coffee, battery charging through an aggressive hunting season. I stored it for 6 months (probably improperly in retrospect) and have worked to get it "right" for the past 4 months. After cleaning the carb ( 3 times) refreshing the fuel...Seafoam did the trick. Skeptical, I worked it hard and it actually seamed to run BETTER the harder and longer I ran it. I do believe it is running as good today as the day I purchased it.

I've been around ALOT of generators and this is the quietest I have ever heard. Not only that, but it's light enough to handle by yourself and your wife. Wife can easily pull start too. All that plus a built in camper plug. Best wattage/dollar around too. You will not be disappointed.

I filled it with oil as indicated by the dip stick but had frequent shut downs after running 5 to 20 minutes. The oil dipstick showed it halfway between min and max.
After reading many posts about the low oil switch, I added more oil to slightly above the high mark. Now it's running well. I plugged in the home fridge and freezer, turned down the cold so both compressors were running then plugged in the furnace. The furnace started up and ran great even with both the fridge and freezer compressors running.

This generator is awesome! Used it at deer camp this year and ran it all night powering fridge and heat in camper and fridge in another camper as well. Even though the other guys plugged into mine they still had to keep the gas I had left over after I killed my eight point and was headed out. It is efficient and fairly quiet as I kept it about 5yards from my camper and could still hear the other guys which was 50 yards away.... It is well worth the money and the neighbors will be jealous when the power goes out this winter..

added oil and a little gas for a quiik out of box test. No leaks or drips.2 pulls and a start. Looks like a good value in case of an emergency. Good and timely technical support for questions. A keeper.

I purchased this for home back up and use out in the woods at camp. It performed wonderfully compared to my old generator. Started on the first pull every time, used it daily for over a week out at elk camp. Had no problems with it whatsoever, and am very pleased with it's performance so far.

I ordered 5 of these for co-workers, neighbors & myself...order came in 1 week early, picked them up & delivered them. Put mine together & running in 15 min. Pleased with how quiet it is...has a huge muffler.

Just finished up my 6th deer camp with this generator and felt that I had to write in to say how great this thing has been. Camp is anywhere from 10 to 13 days long, with the generator running, literally, all night long, every night, powering lights, heaters, and, most important, the c-pap machine that I must use. Probably closing in on 100 all-night usages and this thing has never faltered......the pull cord finally snapped this year from so much use, changed it out easily and back in business. I don't write many reviews, but had to for one of the best purchases I have made. This thing is a winner!

I bought this generator online from cabelas and received the generator the Thursday before Sandy hit. Did not buy because of the storm coming, just lucked out. On Saturday I put the wheel kit on and put oil in it. The generator started on the first pull, ran it with no load for about 1 hour. Put the generator away and waited for the storm to come. I live in Bucks county Pa. and lost power around 9:00 pm for 19 hours. The generator ran my sump pump, refrigerator, TV, Verizon FIOS box, wireless router, DVR unit and some lights. And yes watching TV during the storm was great knowing what was going on around me on the news. After the sump pump was not needed any longer I ran an Eden Pure heater with no problems at all. I would recommend this unit to anyone needing back up power for light duty electrical needs, very happy with my purchase.

Started on second pull of the rope. Worked great the few times I have already used it for tailgating. Worked great for tailgaiting except it is a little loud. I knew that before I bought it. The quiet gerators are far more expensive.

After reading good reviews, I purchased this and am as pleased as were the people whose reviews I read. Went to deer camp and this generator was very quiet running our camping heaters, grill, coffee pot and a microwave. Couldn't have been more pleased with its performance as well as the miserly gas usage.
