DUCK COMMANDER Duck Commander™ Wake Maker Motion System

Creates movement so natural, you'll think your spread is full of live ducks. Used by the "Duck Commander" Phil Robertson, it sets up like a jerk string, but has no cord to pull. The included remote control programs swim speed and swim distance from well outside the spread for hands-free hunting. There's no long, tangle-prone jerk string, so it's safe from spread-crashing dogs and hunting partners. For water depths up to 30". Requires one 12-volt marine battery (not included). Made in USA .

Looks FANTASTIC, but not reliable

Date:December 20, 2012
I have now owned three (3) of these. When they work, they are AWESOME. Nothing attracts ducks better, particularly pintails and wood ducks, which NEVER before came in to our South Louisiana ricefield set ups like they do when the Wake Makers are working. The problem is they don't always work well. First one I bought worked for about a month, then the motor froze up. hHe second one (so far) has been working fine for about a month. The third one worked great for a week, then the motor stopped reversing - will only turn in one direction, meaning the decoys don't move at all - the motor just spins against the monofilament. Will send back that motor unit to Duck Commander and see if they honor their warranty. Wish they were built a little better, because they work GREAT, when they work.

duck commander wave maker

Date:September 24, 2012
I hunt big water rice fields in California. I started with one wave maker 2 seasons ago. Then added one last year and a third for this year. On calm days ducks lock and dive into shooting range when they bypass other spreads in the club.
One wave maker is as good and 4 dozen static decoys so, it is cost effective. But, still a bit expensive.

Not Happy

Date:July 20, 2011
Was really looking forward to using this in the spread. Got it set up went great looked great but kept working its way to the drive unit and jamming did it over and over set it up as said, set the dwell time and speed and then sure enought it would slowly work back to the drive unit and jam! going to work on it over the off season and see if we can work out what to do, because it does look great.
