Nice system

Date:January 26, 2010
I've used this camera for about two months now and love it as well as the modem system. I really like checking the online site to determine the activity. The battery life has been fine if you follow the instructions of using lithium batteries and limit the number of update time to a few times per day. One of my favorite features is the ability to change the camera setting thru the online web site. The only reason why i gave it four instead of five stars is the cost of the monthly ATT service for the modem.

Good but features but also lacking

Date:January 4, 2010
There are features on this trail camera that are great but there are some performance issues too.
First the features, who can go wrong with a 16 MB card capacity, you will never run out of room. The ability to take pictures at time delayed intervals is a great feature, I plan to set it up on a food plot and take pictures every hour for a week. The camera resolution on the daytime pictures is great. The night pictures and video are OK. There are other features that I have not tried.
As far as performance it is not the best "trail cam". I have some pictures of the last half of some deer. I would have liked a much faster reaction time for the camera. The multiple picture mode shortest time between pictures is one minute (that is too long). Deer can walk a long way in a minute. And one more thing, the IR is not invisible I have a lot of pictures of deer looking at the camera and I have seen the red glow myself. I wish it was quieter also. The noise draws the attention to the camera especially for deer.
I do like the camera and will keep it but it does not fill all situations

Well worth the price

Date:October 26, 2009
I think the bad reviews are just people that do not pay attention. I found a new security box made just for the 1-65. The pictures are better than image image on the web I've seen. I save the images to enhanced on my SD card, and wow, they are too good to be true. with 16GB Sd card I can get well over 10k pictures.
This I-65 will spoil you. The LCD screen is great. Thank you Moultrie for great cameras.

I-65

Date:October 14, 2009
Thought I would update my camera so I ordered a Moultrie I-65. What a mistake. Has some great features like its easy to program, great viewer, etc. The problem is that they forgot the basics--it needs to take a good picture infact at the price it should take great pictures. It doesn't. The pictures are blured. Would appear to me that the shutter is staying open to long. I gave Moultire a chance. Won't give them another. If you buy one you will simply be taking it back.

The manufacture suggests that you use Energizer, Duracell or Moultrie branded batteries. Using a quality battery will increase the performance and image quality you receive from your camera.

Great Cam

Date:October 12, 2009
The last reviewer gave it one star because a Bear broke it. Thats not moultrie fault. I have had this out for 3 weeks on a tree and that battery life is at 97%. Its a great camera. Takes great pictures. You can view the pics on the camera screen. Its awesome.

Moultrie I-65 - dissapointed

Date:October 1, 2009
A bear got my Game Spy 6.0 IR so I ordered this as a replacement. I also ordered the Moultrie Security Box in case the bear came back. Well, this camera will not fit in the Security Box! Oh well, I figured I'd use the Moultrie Tree Mount like I did with the old camera. No tripod mount! I can't believe a company would go to the trouble to upgrade something and not make it compatable with their existing accessories.
