Stryker Crossbow Package

Firing bolts at a mind-blowing 405-fps, the Stryker is the fastest production crossbow on the market. What's more, the Stryker launches deadly accurate performance. It also cranks out a 17" power stroke. Producing 155 ft.-lbs. of kinetic energy. 175 lbs. of draw weight provides the speed and power you need when a shot presents itself and there's no time to mess around. Check out its perfectly machined riser, binary cam and horizontal force technologies that result in reduced shock and less noise. Wrapped split limbs and greater limb angle send bolts flying silently at incredible speeds with precise accuracy. The cocking system is built internally into the crossbow's frame, so gone are the days of clumsy cocking and decocking. The Weaver accessory rail allows you to add on exciting accessories like a pistol grip, bipod, flashlight or laser sight. The scope rail is fixed for repeatability and durability. Its position and height are optimized both ergonomically and ballistically. The Stryker's foregrip is adjustable and/or replaceable. A bolt sensor resets the safety anytime a bolt is chambered, which eliminates the possibility of accidental dryfiring. Includes multiple-reticle red-dot 1x30 scope, four matched bolts, hard carrying case, detachable sling, hip quiver and extra string.

Works for me!

Date:August 1, 2008
I have shoulder problems and wasn't able to cock the DESERT STRYKER with a rope cocker made by a different company. The integrated, chain operated cranking system on this upscale model works great and is, in itself, worth the money.
Power and accuracy are awesome! And, unlike another reviewer, I think the bolts are perfectly straight and seem well manufactured. I shot an 8-pointer and a nub buck in 2007, and neither got further than 40 yards from the point of impact.
The bow isn't any heavier or more cumbersome than the more expensive crossbows from Ten Point, for example, and getting into a tree stand (at least if you add a better sling than the one provided by Bow Tech) is no problem. An aftermarket 'single point' sling of the type used with AR-15 rifles (attached to the Piccatinny fore-rail) works great for hanging onto the bow while sitting in a stand and allows you to easily shift the bow to either shoulder for shots either left or right.
The case that comes with the Stryker, however, does not fit the bow ... the scope (which was not attached when I bought the bow) sits too high to close the top without using force. This year I bought a good soft case from Cabelas, and that should work fine.

Power with a few drawbacks

Date:December 23, 2007
Fantastic speed and power. This crossbow is hitting harder at 60 yards than the few TenPoint crossbows I've shot are at 30 yards. Biggest drawbacks are size(it's fairly cumbersome going through the woods, especially when cocked because of it's long draw length) and string wear. Other points to consider are the case, which is unacceptably cheap, and a quiver that does not attach directly to the crossbow. There are going to be sacrifices for this kind of speed and power, but these things, in my opinion, are unnessesary oversights by bowtech. Despite these shortcomings, a great crossbow so far.

Styker Crossbow

Date:September 25, 2007
I purchased this bow in the spring to go turkey hunting after tearing up my shoulder and having surgery. There were approximatly 20 arrows shot out of the bow when the bow blew up on opening morning of deer season wounding a deer and leaving me set idle for the remainder of the day. I went through three case before I actually received one that was not broken. That's not a very good track record. The bow is exceptionaly fast and accurate but if it does not last for more than 20 arrows, what good is it!! When I took the bow back I was astonished to find three other Stryer bows laying in a pile with the identical problem. The bow is very heavy and because of it's size is difficult to hunt with in the woods. I have never been so disappointed in a product over my 50 years of hunting.

stryker crossbow

Date:September 1, 2007
From the very begining this has left a lot to be desired. The first thing that was bad was the bolts are not even close to straight. Then the scope that is supposed to be preset for 20-40-60 is really 20-40-77. This was verified with a Leupold 800 rangefinder and the good old tape measure. The next thing that failed was the foregrip fell off due to the screw inserts in the plastic not being epoxyed in. Within just a couple more shoots the serving began to unravle. Total number of shots at this point is no more than 50. After borrowing some bolts I have checked the accuracy. It is somwhere near 3-4 inches at 30 yards, maybe this all you can expect from it. I am pretty confident my liberty vft shot better than this. I hope I will receive some assistance.

Awsome

Date:August 9, 2007
I was in a severe Motorcycle accident last Oct, as luck would have it the first week of Bow Deer season! I suffered two shattered hips, two shattered pelvic bones, multiple other fractures and shattered bones in my left arm,leg and knee
requiring a multitude of plates, pins and synthedic hips, pelvic, and knee! To say the least it seemed hunting
was going to be a challenge for the next year! I bought my stryker afer alot of research. Out of the box I only had to make a couple of adjustments to my red dot sight and I was sighted in at 20,40 and 60 yards respectivly! It is awsome the speed this bow generates is unbelievable! Just cock it load it aim and sqeeze the trigger "GAME OVER JUST AS ADVERTIZED!" I'M still recovering from my accident but it
has gotten alot easier since I got My Stryker and my crossbow permit to hunt with it here in Michigan! Hurry up and get here Oct 1st!!!!
