Ross Ross Reach® Spey Rods

The idea of two-handed spey rods is to cover big water, while maintaining line control and sensitivity. Reach Spey Rods do that and more. They are made of proprietary R-4 graphite that results in a lightweight, powerful and precise casting tool. The rods handle a full range of fly lines – AFS, Skagit-style or longer-bellied spey lines. The four-piece rods have fast, responsive actions that allow you to execute all types of spey and Skagit casts. And the best part is they won't cost you an arm and a leg. Titanium-oxide guides. Alignment dots for quick assembly. Anodized-aluminum reel seat. Two-handed spey handles with fighting butts. Cordura® rod case. Lifetime warranty.

More than advertised

Date:March 27, 2010
I got one of these for my king and silver fishing this summer. After casting it I was blown away by the performance. I have other two handed rods that cost a lot more than these and do not cast as well or have cosmetics as nice as these rods. If you are looking for a two handed rod this is the one.

Very Disapointed

Date:March 18, 2012
I have had two of these rods. Both have snapped while casting. They can't handle the force of the heavy lines used for spey casting. The construction is weak and unstable. I would not recommend this to anyone.
