surprisingly good

Date:July 27, 2014
I purchased this as a backup carry weapon, and have since that it will be my primary instead. The trigger in double action is pretty heavy, but very predictable. The finish is flawless except for very minor pitting on the butt, and no finish on the grips.(This seems to be the case with all of them as I know of several who also purchased these with the same flaws.) I finished the grips with a little oil and they are flawless and beautiful. I have fired several thousand rounds through this and find that it shoots better than my Blackhawk with a 6 1/2" barrel. I get consistent grouping of less than 1" at 50 feet, where my other 357 mags. group at about 3". It's very reliable and consistent.

Great gun for the money

Date:April 2, 2014
I've had this out a few times now, and I'm very happy with it as a shooter, and all around utilitarian firearm.
The trigger pull in double action is a bit heavy, but fairly smooth, and very predictable after the first 50 rounds. Single action works flawlessly as expected
As for cosmetics, there was some minor tiny pitting on the butt, and the grips were very dry, unfinished walnut. A few cots of tung or linseed oil fixes the grips right up. Finish and bluing on the rest of the firearm is perfect.
Great gun, especially for the money. One star deducted for the minor pitting on the butt, and extremely dry grips, but cosmetics aside I'd give it 5 stars.

Great Deal

Date:April 1, 2014
I really like mine. It's proven to be reliable and also fairly accurate. Ergonomics are fine and I like the look of it too.
The one I bought looked to be unfired. The cylinder locks up nicely and the timing is dead on.
The double action trigger pull on it was pretty heavy at first. I popped off the sideplate -the weird looking screws come out just fine with the right size slotted bit- and it was dry as a bone inside. Also the internals displayed somewhat rough machining. After a good wipe down and lube of the internal parts the trigger was noticeably lighter.
I was looking for an affordable, reliable nightstand gun and this fits the bill perfectly.

Good for a discount buy

Date:January 6, 2014
The gun is fairly light and compact for a 4 inch 357 and the grips are very comfortable but the double action trigger pull reminds me of one of the old S&W lemon squeezers or safety hammerless double action revolvers from the turn of the century or simply extremely heavy. I don't know the exact weight of the trigger pull but it is very heavy though it should be noted the break point for the trigger pull is still very predictable and consistant. The single action as you can imagine is just fine. I gave this gun 3 stars or a rating of average because it seems to be a very dependable great gun and the quality is really on par with taurus but it may not be quite what most consumers are expecting. S&W, Ruger, and even Taurus owners may be a little disapointed though I believe collectors and enthusiasts who are used to older guns with really heavy triggers will not be bothered. For the money it is a really great gun.
