It's what a Glock should look like after 30 years

Date:June 13, 2015
The FNS 9c is the best concealed carry firearm I've owned to date. I've carried numerous glocks and S&Ws, Walther, and Springfield Armory handguns, and the FNS compact is now my everyday carry. One thing to keep in mind is how stiff the springs are when you first get this thing. Sending the slide home, racking the slide, and ejecting magazines was very difficult in my sample. As far as the slide is concerned, just clean/lube it as directed in the manual (as you're not supposed to shoot it before doing so). I use Froglube and it was much improved. The mag release was particularly stiff at first. I almost sent it into FN but I simply dry practiced the heck out of it and after a couple of days it was much improved. I just ordered the full-size mag release to make it a little easier just in case it doesn't loosen up to exactly what I prefer. Be prepared for an aggressive grip texture. It's much moreso than Glock Gen4 pistols. My hand was raw after manipulating it the first day. I even put on Gloves to help smooth out the trigger (which also takes time to break in). The next day my hands had recovered for more breakin. If the aggressiveness bothers you, just order rubberized Talon grips or something similar. That said, I wouldn't dock it any points based on the grip texture and breakin time. It's so exceptional in virtually every other way that it's well worth the money in my opinion. This thing is built like a tank and it feels about as light as my G26. I've owned four single stack pistols and I've switched back to a doublestack because I shoot them better and they carry very similar in my opinion (especially if you have a quality holster), and I like having more options (rounds).

Best of the composit handguns!

Date:February 18, 2014
I have owned three brands of 40 caliber handguns, and shot seven. Of those, you can include the XD line, the Glock line, Smith and Wesson, and even went as low as Taurus (never again!). This FNS-40 is the best of them all. The sights make it easier to acquire the target in rapid fire, and the grip is heavily textured so that it doesn't slide around in your hand. The texture on the grip did receive mixed reviews though. My girlfriend has tiny hands, and the texture left a blister on them. For me, it was amazing! I loved everything about this gun. With an XD, I was shooting 10 inch patterns at twenty feet, and the gun balance is top-heavy. With the FNS-40, I was shooting eight inch patterns at 35 ft, and the gun balance is perfect. This is a high quality gun, made in the USA by a reputable manufacturer, and it is worth every penny. Glock and Springfield, move over!

Good ol' U.S. of A

Date:April 7, 2013
I purchased the FNS-40 after gracious assistance from the firearms department employee who showed me comparable makes and features of each handgun I was interested in.
My first impression of this firearm was: "1911 features within a striker fired polymer framed pistol aaaannnnd (drum roll) MADE IN THE U.S.A.!" The interchangeable backstraps are engineered to fit a variety of grip preferences making this duty sized pistol comfortable and easily handled by many shooters. Included on the handgun are night sights and a picatinny rail for lasers/lights. The low bore axis and flat recoil spring help reduce the muzzle flip related to the .40 cal round. Trigger pull and reset is phenomenal for rapid fire. The loaded chamber indicator is handy and the manual thumb safety is (in my opinion) a must.
I have thrown 250 rounds down range and have experienced ZERO malfunctions of any kind. Fluid performance, loaded with features, solid reliability and Made in The Good ol' U.S.A.. 'nuff said.

FNS-40

Date:March 9, 2013
FN USA has and continues to produce top quality weapons for Military, Law Enforcement and Elite Civilian shooters. The FNS-40 as a striker fire system puts Glock to shame with its performance.
I trust my life and my families lives on the dependability of this weapon. It is an elite tool that performs flawlessly. If you want the best then choose an FN.

FNH FNS-9

Date:December 5, 2012
I have owned a Browning Hi-Power (9mm) since 1990. I love the solid feel of the Browning and wondered how it could get any better. I'd been researching the FN pistols on the Internet for a few months and finally made the purchase during Cabela's 2nd Amendment Sale. I am so happy I made the buy. I still enjoy the Browning but I take my FNS-9 (9mm) with me each time I'm out shooting, even if I'm sighting in my deer rifle. The FNS is very comfortable to handle and has low felt recoil. The FNS also feels like a quality firearm and is very easy to clean. I enjoy the FNS so much, I'm researching other FNH products for my next purchase.

STEP ASIDE GLOCK!

Date:November 24, 2012
First off I have always been a glock fan and I had the chance to check the FS out at Cabela's while my son was purchasing a FN Five Seven and I decided to step out of the box and purchase the FS. On the way home I started questioning myself but as soon as We hit the driveway I let a couple fly out the window. "A long family tradition" Don't ask. Anyway I went straight to loading clips and after the first 30 or forty rounds I was in love! This thing is awesome! Very nice feel, accurate and built very solid. Needless to say my glock 23 is taking a vacation! Buy one.

Learned about it in gun license class

Date:November 22, 2012
In passing the shooting test of the license test my instructor asked to use my Sig and had me try his FNS. I thought it was a type of S and W but it had a grip that allowed me to have a light-firm yet easy trigger pull.
I shot 50 rounds as did he, I did not want my Sig back so I traded it in for a stainless slide FNS bought at Cabelas. Best gun I own- all the rest are SW, HK and more Sigs. When I tried out 6 other guns none of them had the solid feel and grip of the FNS. Shooting it is not a strain and 200 rounds at a time does not wear my hand out. Easy to be accurate.
