It Works.

Date:December 24, 2011
Installed this on my M&P15. You get Troy quality, great price, and a functional muzzle brake. There's definitely less muzzle flip, thus keeping your shots spot on!

Not Worth it

Date:September 14, 2011
Not worth the money. I felt an increase in recoil and less control during rapid fire compared to my original bird cage on my Colt 6721. There was also a more pronounced muzzle flash compared to the bird cage using Federal M855 green tip. If you are thinking about changing out your original bird cage for this device, don't waste your time or money.

Excellent Muzzle Brake.

Date:July 17, 2010
I usually run Phantom flash hiders on my ARs, and I came across this while shopping in the Rapid City Cabela's store.
I picked it up, and installed it on my M4gery that still had the A2 birdcage. It works great as a suppressor, and I did not notice any addition or reduction in muzzle flash, although, to be honest, I can never tell the difference anyway. It did diminish recoil much better than the A2 birdcage. It was easy to install, seems to be rugged (I haven't tried to destroy it), and works as intended. Id does come with a crush washer, so all you need is 3/4" open ended wrench, and a vise is very helpful, although not absolutely needed.
