Cabela's Cabela's Ultimate Game Feeder Unit

This two-in-one feeder unit has a built-in varmint guard that keeps pests from getting into your feed and disrupting your feed patterns. It has 24 programmable feed times, with one to 30 second intervals. With the push of a button, the feeder changes to one feed time at dawn and one time at dusk with the fully automatic photocell. The three speed, high-torque motor is great for loosening up frozen feed. The LCD control screen can be accessed any time and has a motor, battery and feed display. The spinner height is adjustable from 0 to 1-1/2 inches. Metal spinner plate. Powered by an external solar panel(solar panel not included) or rechargeable battery. Includes 6-volt battery and charger.

2 Failed Feeders

Date:November 10, 2009
I purchased and set up two of these feeders under plastic 30 gallon drums. Within two weeks both feeders had stopped working. The LCD screens were completely blank and replacing the old battery with a fresh one did nothing. This was quite distressing as it cost me half of my feeders one week prior to rifle season. I recently returned from my second deployment and this will be the first year I have been able to hunt in four years. I am NOT HAPPY about this!

Ultimate game feeder unit

Date:July 26, 2009
Mounts easily under my box. Had to slant the sides on the second one, as the racoons would hang on the edge to stick their hands inside the bars and spinning the rotator.

Ultimate Game Feeder

Date:May 18, 2009
Decent feeder. Don't like that the battery is different from every other feeder on the property. "The LCD control screen can be accessed any time". Access panel to the control screen is easily pushed open (down) by raccoons as they climb up to get the corn. They also switch the feeder from the programmed feed times to the photocell feed times. I do like that the spinner height is adjustable and the motor has three speeds. If the access panel was not easily opened this would be an outstanding feeder.

Works great!

Date:May 4, 2009
I'm very satisfied with this product. I mounted it to a 55 gallon plastic drum with the feeder funnel on the inside. When the motor is set on low, the feed drops in about a 5 ft circle. When set on medium is is about 9 ft, and when on high speed lookout! It throws the feed in about a 12 ft circle. I made a tripod and the the spinner is at about 7 ft off of the ground in hopes to keep the bears away. I also mounted the solar panel and I checked in with my friend who is keeping an eye on it for me and so far the battery is fine. I've had it out for about month now.
I really like the rodent guard. Squirrels can be a nuisance where I hunt.

Used as bird feeder

Date:March 9, 2009
I slid the spinner all the way up the shaft allowing a small
gap. I really love the "auto" mode which is then triggered
by change in light #dawn & dusk# so I don't have to keep adjusting feeding times. Very nice.
A bucket of mixed bird seed runs about $25 and with 2 second feeds at dawn and dusk it last about a month. Very
convenient and keeps my bevy of quail quite happy.

ultimate feeder

Date:January 1, 2009
I have bought many feeders and this is by far the most difficult to set-up, energize, and reliability is poor. I bought two and neither is working after only one season. Don't buy this one, it will be a waste of your money!!!!!
