Lightning struck(out) 3 times

Date:August 1, 2010
I tried to buy a Lightning today; but after 3 brand new in the box guns were defective, I gave up. Cimarron is NOT a step up from Uberti as they claim; both are junk.
Spend the extra money and buy a Ruger.

Nice Shooting Gun

Date:January 11, 2012
I've always wanted a .45 Colt "cowboy" gun and this seemed to fit the bill. However, once I got to the range, I discovered that the grip was a little too small for my hand and the trigger guard would rub against my middle and ring finger when trying to shoot causing me to throw a lot of shots off to the left. While I gave it only three stars, it's still a nicely made weapon and someone with a smaller hand would probably have a great time shooting it.

I'm ya huckleberry!

Date:January 23, 2012
I ordered 2 x Pistolero's from the Glendale, AZ store and shipped to my FFL in KS and I must say these are great single actions which you can rely on to shoot straight and go bang every time you cock the hammer and pull that trigger. Both are .45 colt and even for my wife (who one of these was for) found the recoil and grip to be comfortable to shoot. I have large hands and had no issue keeping this pistol in check and find it very comfortable in hand shooting with one hand or supported with two. If you shoot western action they fire quite competitively out of the box with very traditional styling compared to other single action pistols on the market. On the trigger and hammer mechanism they operate very smoothly and I feel its some of the best gun smithing I've seen on a pistol in its price range and would compete with others well above, very fluid cocking with a distinct ratcheting as you pull back to full cock.
I prefer this over Ruger, Cimarron and Cabelas will see more business from me in the future. Happy shooting.

Pistolero

Date:April 6, 2011
The Pistolero is a fine firearm. Well crafted and balanced. On the range the pistol shoots straight and true.
Less than a week after purchasing the Pistolero, I returned to Cabelas and purchased a second Pistolero.

I highly recommend this revolver

Date:December 1, 2010
The Evil Roy has the best out-of-box trigger I've come across. it has been 100% reliable and much more accurate than it needs to be.
