Excellent! Not one complaint

Date:February 5, 2012
Just got this about a week ago and for the price I can't get over the features and quality of this rifle. Some of the things I like the best are the rotary drop mag, bolt release safety (this is a really nice added safety feature, it works well) and the 4 screws per scope mount. I'm not sure why a 4 screw scope mount wasn't done in the past but I'll tell ya it sure is easy to line up the mounts right down the center of the rifle. Windage adjustments are not necessary so buy the Browning mounts. The visible firing pin safety is also very easy to see when there is a live chambered round. This gun is about as safe as rifle can get.
The Medallion also has a really nice walnut stock. It's not highly figured but good grain with a thick high gloss finish and the rosewood stands out really well. The checkering is pretty deep so it provides a real good grip.
The drop mag is really easy to load. This was a no brainer for me to order because I have the .17 HMR straight pull tbolt and the rotary mag on that is so good I told myself a rotary mag was all I wanted from now on if I could get it on the caliber rifle I'm looking for. In my opinion the drop mag and bolt safety make this gun simple to unload and very safe.
The bolt is 3 lug and really smooth.
The fit and finish are well done. Having this for a while now I really wonder why some of us (me included at times) are paying twice the price for some other guns. You know what I mean. Obviously there are higher grade woods and some really high quality finishes but if the gun you're looking for is going to be a hunter buy the X-bolt.
One last thing...the hunter is really nice also and I would have bought that model but I got an excellent deal on the medallion.

AMAZING RIFLE

Date:October 23, 2011
I actually just bought two of these rifles, an x-bolt hunter and the medallion. The medallion is chambered in 300 win mag and the hunter in 338 win mag. The accuracy is great and the recoil was next to nothing. I have had surgery on my shoulder and have always had issues shooting high power rifles. This rifle did not even bruise my shoulder, let alone make it sore. It was the most enjoyable experience I have ever had shooting a high power rifle. Amazing gun!!!

This is an awesome rifle!

Date:November 27, 2010
I purchased the 270 WSM X-Bolt Stainless Stalker Carbon Fiber last year. It has a 23” stainless steel barrel and the magazine holds three rounds. Last year I used the Winchester Super X (150 grains). This year I made change to the Winchester Ballistic Silvertip (150 grains). Both held groups of <1” @ 100 yards. I would not consider me a great shooter.
This was my first Browning rifle. A few friends recommend Browning and I am so glad that I took their advice.
I would highly recommend this rifle!

Browning X-Bolt Medallion .325 WSM

Date:August 4, 2010
This gun is amazingly accurate. I was hunting in west Texas last year, when I shot my first buck. It was a nice 8pt and was about 450yrds away when I first saw it. It was getting close to dark and I waited for it to get closer, it was 225 yrds out when I realized if I didnt take my shot, I wasn't going to have a shot at all. I had only shot the gun five times, from 25yrds out sighting it in myself. I took my shot and the buck dropped right where it was standing. I was so shocked that I had a perfect shot. This rifle not only looks amazing with the polish and carving that is on it, but it is very light weight and very very accurate.
