Light tackle rod

Date:April 2, 2013
The rod casts fine. It has a medium action. The rod starts bending about a little more than halfway up. I was initially concerned about the style of guides since they are normally used on casting rods but they work just fine; the line does not slap the blank at all and are not too heavy either. The taper is gentle and the seat is comfy enough for me. I bought it to cast small lures into the surf and I'm happy with it. My GF likes the blue swirl color but I think it's a little annoying. I gave it 5 stars because it does all you would expect for a rod in it's price range.

Excellant surf rods

Date:February 26, 2013
I bought two different models thinking I would pick the best one and give the other away to a friend. After using them for two months, I couldn't part with any of them. Their both mine. One was the 7'3" the other was the 9' 6".

Wright & McGill Blair Wiggins Tessera Rod

Date:October 20, 2011
Great Rod. Excellent for long cast. Paired with a Wright & McGill Reel & power pro line and it will cast a good deal further than my shimano rods with same reel & line.

EXCELLENT ROD!!!

Date:February 4, 2011
I've never used a better rod than these at any price. Sensitive yet powerful and cast great. Blair's earlier rods from Wright & McGill were winners also.
