Breakaway LD-X Surf Rod

Date:November 22, 2006
This is the rod for long casts. With a long cast reel you will surprise yourself with new found range. The rod is light weight in ounces with heavy weight in power. It has great feel and potential that will keep you wondering how far you can get it out there. I cast further with less effort and have not reached the limit of the rod.
The advanced material catches the sunlight and shows the unique rod structure. A few beach walkers have noticed it and commented "nice pole", "nice rod".
The Breakaway has great sensitivity that telegraphs through the rod. In a holder the tip moves, rebounds and sets the hook without my help. Great for chair fishermen :-)
The grip is extra nice, feels very good and cleans easily. Breakaway comes with a fabric case for storage.
I'm completely satisfied.

Awesome

Date:March 6, 2007
Paired up the LDX with a Daiwa Sealine 30 high speed and let the line fly. Amazing response of the rod during cast and fight. Caught personal best redfish 35" no doubt due to added distance. Overall Grade A rod. Recommend to everyone I know.

BREAKAWAY SURF ROD

Date:June 8, 2008
I bought this Rod so that I could fish on a recent trip to Maui, Hi. I found this rod to be very well made and I was able to cast it with no effort. This being my first effort at Suf fishing, I was not able to reach 600ft, I am sure that this potential is well within reah soon. I caught a 37 pound Trevally and had a great fight! Enjoyed the Rod imensely!

Initial impact

Date:September 28, 2008
My intent was to use this pole for some pretty heavy fish. One look at the pole and I was astounded as to how few line guides there were on such a long pole. I showed it to some of my fellow fishermen and they voiced the same concerns.I did not use the pole. I sent it back for a refund. I was very dissapointed. Also, for a pole that is supposed to be good for distance, it seemed awfully stiff for a good action. I will never know, will I??

Breakaway LDX

Date:November 5, 2008
I paired this rod with a Daiwa Emblem Pro. It balanced out very well and I have no trouble getting out way further than I expected.
It's a great rod with reasonable guide spacing that lets the rod do the wok it was designed for. It handled a 34 pound Spot Tail with no trouble and did it very well with no acute bends or otherwise.
It looks a bit odd at first because the first guide is a long way up from the reel, but this lets the line flow more freely than if it was closer.
The butt is a bit too long for my liking but it works out when you get a decent fish on.
