Penn Penn Slammer Spinning Rod

An upgrade in blank material specific for each fishing application is just one of the redesigned features on the 2006 NEW Slammer Rods. The new blanks also improve casting performance and sensitivity. They've also added to select rods, their Integrated Solid Tip (IST), which combines tubular glass's action and sensitivity with a solid tip's durability. What Penn hasn't changed is the long-standing legacy of quality and toughness in each one of its rods.

Slammer Rod-Great

By
Location: Georgia
I recently used this rod out in 150-250ft of water using 100lb braided line and the rod held up well. The rod was perfect for my 850 Penn Reel. It has some flexibility and is stiff enough to use heavy 16 oz jigs and pull in 20 lb fish from the blue abyss.

Penn Slammer Spinning Rods

By
I have bought two Penn Slammer spinning rods and have been impressed with their quality and their performance. I fish inshore for stripers and have enjoyed fishing with these rods. They are strong but sensitive and cast very well with small to medium size lures. These rods are priced just right. I would recommend this to anyone.

Penn Slammer Rod

Great rod with great strength. I've literally had it bent in two with a 13 pound spottail and a 25 pound bonnethead. Casts well and very sensitive feel. I bought another.
